While food drives are incredibly helpful, the most impactful way to support our work is through financial donations. Because of our partnerships and purchasing power through the food bank, we are able to stretch every dollar further and provide more food to more neighbors.
Food Drive Information
If you’d like to host a food drive, we have resources available to help make your drive a success, including:
- A flyer with our most needed food items
- A flyer for a hygeine drive
- A flyer for a soup meal kit drive
- A flyer you can use on collection boxes
- Additional needs and our Amazon Wish List
(Our Amazon list is regularly updated with our most current needs.)
Additional Information
We’ve found that themed food drives make it easier and more fun for participants.
Some popular examples include:
- Peanut butter and jelly
- Pasta, pasta sauce, and parmesan
- Chunky soups and crackers
Another great option is to create complete meal kits to support families. Each kit should include ingredients for a meal that can serve a family of four.
Popular options include:
- Oatmeal Kit: Oats, shelf-stable milk, cinnamon, peanut butter and/or honey (we can add dried fruit)
- Pasta Kit: Pasta, sauce, canned protein (chicken or beans), optional parmesan or seasoning
- PB&J Kit: Peanut butter, jelly, optional sides
- Chili Kit: Beans, chili seasoning, canned tomatoes, and protein
- Soup Kit: Chunky soup, crackers, and a canned or boxed side
Feel free to get creative—just keep items nonperishable and easy to prepare.
