Food Pantry
Our food pantry is the foundation and center of everything we do. We provide supplemental food in a welcoming, low-barrier environment, ensuring neighbors can receive support when they need it most.
As a client-choice pantry, individuals and families select the foods that best meet their needs. This approach promotes dignity, reduces waste, and ensures food is both accessible and meaningful to each household.
Hygiene & Basic Needs
In addition to food, we sometimes offer basic necessity items such as toiletries and hygiene products during pantry hours when they are available.
These items can be difficult to access and are often not covered by assistance programs, making them an important part of supporting the overall well-being of our neighbors.
While we cannot guarantee these items will be available every week, we gladly distribute them whenever they are donated to our pantry.
Community Garden
Our garden provides fresh, nutritious produce for our neighbors while also serving as a space for learning and connection.
The garden is a visible and hands-on way to promote healthy eating and community ownership.
Health Clinic
Through partnerships with local healthcare providers, we offer on-site health clinics from the fall through spring.
These clinics provide access to services such as basic health screenings, vaccinations, and wellness resources. These are held in partnership with The Links Incorporated, Circle City Chapter and Indiana University Health.
Wraparound Services
We know food is just one part of overall well-being. That’s why we partner with organizations across Central Indiana to bring wraparound services directly into our pantry.
Neighbors can connect to resources such as SNAP assistance, healthcare support, and other community programs right where they already are.
Volunteer Opportunities
Group Volunteers
Volunteers are the heart of our organization, and we offer meaningful opportunities for groups to get involved. Corporate teams, community groups, and organizations can volunteer together to support pantry operations, special projects, and events. Visit our Volunteer Page to learn more.
Individual Volunteers
Individuals play a critical role in making our work possible. Volunteering at Mid-North Food Pantry is not only a way to give back, it’s also a meaningful way to build relationships and to be part of something bigger.
