Additional Information

We’ve found that themed food drives make it easier and more fun for participants.

Some popular examples include:

  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Pasta, pasta sauce, and parmesan
  • Chunky soups and crackers

Another great option is to create complete meal kits to support families. Each kit should include ingredients for a meal that can serve a family of four.

Popular options include:

  • Oatmeal Kit: Oats, shelf-stable milk, cinnamon, peanut butter and/or honey (we can add dried fruit)
  • Pasta Kit: Pasta, sauce, canned protein (chicken or beans), optional parmesan or seasoning
  • PB&J Kit: Peanut butter, jelly, optional sides
  • Chili Kit: Beans, chili seasoning, canned tomatoes, and protein
  • Soup Kit: Chunky soup, crackers, and a canned or boxed side

Feel free to get creative—just keep items nonperishable and easy to prepare.
